SYSTEM INTERFACE

The Model 227e System Interface facilitates the equalization, mixing and routing of audio signals in 4-channel studio or performance environments.

There are a total of 9 signal inputs. Four are primary inputs, and can be individually located in 2 dimensional space under voltage control. Additionally, automated movement around a quad space can be implemented with voltages controlling rate, direction and radius. Indicators are provided to display activity and to aid in accurate bus assignment.

Another four inputs appear as a separate four channel mixer with a single output; the inputs may optionally be connected to the four main outputs. A microphone preamplifier with envelope detector is also provided.

Equalization can be applied independently to front and rear channels; a special tilt function is introduced that compensates for the high treble energy frequently characterising electronic sounds. Individual masters for front and rear are also provided. Monitoring facilities include VU meters on each channel, and a headphone driver for front, rear or all channels.

Certain parameters of the 227e can be stored as part of 200e series setups; for this, a 225e preset manager is required.
