Came into stock:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n January 2022.<\/p>\n Service Status:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A full health check by KSR was carried out in December 2021, and a full service will be carried out post-sale.<\/p>\n Remarks:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n First released in 1975, the Moog Taurus 1 (47 years ago!), the Taurus 1 carved out a reputation as the go-to Bass Pedal of choice for most of the biggest bands of the day. It\u2019s still in use today by many artists, although Moog\u2019s reissue has probably retired many of the vintage units from daily use, it\u2019s a killer bass synth nonetheless and they are now scarce and highly collectable.<\/p>\n Background:<\/b><\/p>\n Our client, the owner of this Taurus 1, has owned them for over 30 years and purchased them as he was simply a fan of the instrument and the association for the music they were played on back in the day.\u00a0 <\/span>The owner is not a professional musician, so the Moog has been kept in his home this last 3 decades and appreciated and admired as a unique piece of music instrument history.<\/p>\n Condition:<\/b><\/p>\n The cosmetic condition is very good for what is a floor-standing foot-playing instrument, so we would rate this 8\/10. It\u2019s clear but looking at the Bakelite pedal covers that this Taurus 1 was never used \u2018on the road\u2019 so it\u2019s has had a very gentle life.\u00a0 <\/span>There\u00a0are some signs of wear of course, and a small mark on the laminate cover, which we\u2019ve highlighted in the picture below.\u00a0 <\/span>There is some glue residue showing from around the overlay.<\/p>\n The aluminium chassis & anodising is in good order and the faux wood sides are in great condition.\u00a0 <\/span>You can see from the pictures we took that this example is full 100% intact, and in really super condition overall.<\/p>\n Health-Check & Servicing:<\/b><\/p>\n As mentioned above, this set of Taurus 1 has been through the hands of Kent at KSR back in December 2021, so he has gone through the entire operation of the Moog to check its readiness for sale.\u00a0 <\/span>Aside from some cleaning of the pots and sliders, and the pedal contacts, the Taurus 1 is in very good operational condition.\u00a0 <\/span>We will have the PSU re-capped, a final clean and calibration covered off in the post-sale service, so please allow at least 2 weeks delay once the Moog is sold before we can effect a hand-over to the new owner, or shipping it etc.<\/p>\n The Bass Pedals operate on either US110V or EU220V as there is a switchable PSU (button on the back panel), and as the Moog is a UK supplied unit, so comes fitted with a UK 3-Pin type plug to the power cable. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Packing, Shipping, Insurance and Warranty:\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n We can ship this instrument worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so are subject to quotation.\u00a0 <\/span>There may be some short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.\u00a0 <\/span>We are happy to discuss your requirements so please email us if you have any questions on the logistics and\/or need a quote.<\/p>\n As the instrument is being Brokered through RL Music, it will be sold with a full 3-month (return-to-dealer) warranty, covering all parts and labour.<\/p>\n Sales Price:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a33,190 GBP<\/p>\n As this is a brokered sale, VAT is not applicable to UK buyers, however, the packing & shipping costs are subject to VAT @ 20%, should you need the goods shipped to you.\u00a0 <\/span>The Taurus 1 can be available for collection from us directly in the South of England (Reading, Berkshire).<\/p>\n Availability:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This Moog Taurus 1 is now SOLD<\/strong> – This listing was updated on 10th Feb 2020 @ 09:33 GMT.<\/p>\n Click on the thumbnail for a higher resolution photo of the actual Taurus 1for sale.\u00a0 <\/span>If you require specific pictures not already featured of the instrument then please contact us so we can try and accommodate your request but there may be a short delay in getting this done for you as the instrument is currently in secure storage.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
