Restoration Status: A service by KSR has already been carried out (completed in May 2017), so this Jupiter 6 is ready for sale now.

Remarks: The current owner has used this synth in his home studio for over a decade, and had regular maintenance done on the synth to keep it in the best operational condition possible. The cosmetic condition is very good for a 34 year old synth, and we would grade this as a 8.9 out of 10 cosmetically, although there are some signs of wear, most notable marks can bee seen in the collage picture provided below.

You will notice easily that this JP6 is actually fitted with custom made wood end-cheeks. These actually look pretty good we think, but if you prefer the factory look then the original aluminium end-cheeks are also supplied (as per the picture below).

The Jupiter 6 has been a hugely popular polysynth since its arrival in 1983, and offers aficionados that beautiful vintage polyphonic analogue Roland sound for very reasonable cost, certainly when compared to its sibling, the Jupiter 8. Remarks: We’re delighted to be able to offer what we consider to be one of the finest analogue polysynths ever produced – the Roland Jupiter 8. We supplied this actual JP8 to its current owner back in 2006, so we know the synth well, and have maintained it for them over the last decade.

As many of you will know, we often need to subject these models to extensive operational and cosmetic restoration (costing over £2800 GBP) to bring them up to the highest possible standard, however, this actual JP8 had already gone through this process in 2008.

We call this ‘Total Restoration’ and the work produces an almost factory new-looking machine as all the metal the panels have been stripped and re-sprayed & screen-printed, and the aluminum end-cheeks re-anodised. All the electronics have been completely overhauled, key-bed refurbished and even a brand new new perspex display etc. This is the highest level restoration we can offer for these wonderful vintage synthesizers. This Jupiter 8 has resided since 2006 (and its subsequent Total Restoration in 2008) in the owners UK home studio, and has been kept covered when not used, so has been lovingly cared for. This Jupiter 8 is a 12 bit version (serial number is: 121xxx) and has been retro-fitted with a Encore MIDI kit. The tuning on this earlier 12 bit version is rock-solid, and the owner has confirmed that the synth is more than stable enough for live production work.

Custom Roland Juno 60 – Very Special Edition (VSE)

Restoration Status: Customisation/Restoration work now underway.

Remarks: What’s a Juno 60 VSE?  Well, these customised versions have some very nice cosmetic restoration, and a complete operational refurbishment to produce a unique Juno 60.  Here are the highlights:

>Brand new solid Oak cabinets were hand made by Lamond Design.

>Panels are stripped and repainted, (black or white) – to RL Music specifications. The panels were then screen-printed using different graphic colours to complement the background finish.

>We supply & fit a new Minerva MIDI kits.

>KSR final assembly and fitting of MIDI kits PLUS full electronic overhaul and key-bed refurbishment, staining and hand finishing of wood cabinets and then 7 day soak-test.

>Total Custom Project Restoration time takes up to 10 weeks, involves 10 people in 8 different specialist businesses and cost over£1000 on each synth in restoration alone.

As you can see from the pictures, the results are fantastic – these instruments have been prepared to the very highest standard possible. The Minerva MIDI kits provide full SysEx control of the Juno and come pre-loaded with a full compliment of excellent patches.

Remarks: The CR78 has to be one of the most distinctive drum machines ever made, and has been used by used by artist such as: Brian Ferry, Gary Numan, 808 State, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates, Ultravox etc.

This CR78 is actually owned by Kent Spong of KSR himself, so we are helping him find a new owner for his machine. The cosmetic condition is pristine, and although fully working, Kent has decided to overhaul the entire drum machine prior to sale.

Very interestingly, there is a excellent MIDI kit available for the the CR78 from a company called CHD. The MIDI kit provides complete and individual control of all the machines instruments and operational function , as well as being able to program the unit via MIDI. This means you can use a MIDI keyboard rather than the antiquated (and often missing) WS-1 remote box to do the programming. Kent has just fitted one of these CHD MIDI Kits for a customer of his and was extremely impressed with the functionality, and it’s really well priced! Click the link to find out more:

How about owing this fully pro-restored, guaranteed and genuine Vintage Roland Analogue Polysynth.

This wonderful 6 voice system came from a time when Roland made the best looking synths and had a warm and timeless vintage sound to them. The Juno 6 was many peoples first polysynth and we have had many tell us that they sold theirs years ago and regretted it – well, you can have one again…and a really beautiful example as well.

Although lacking MIDI, this synth has a nostalgic appeal and is perfectly useable to make music today but you have to use your hands and not a remote computer to play it. The digitally controlled/generated oscillator keeps the system in perfect tune, and this model has the exact same sound and programming capability of the Juno 60…without the extra price.

Remarks: This model has become the most popular (and affordable) Vintage Analogue Polysynth in the world, well we think it has, and strong demand from our customers would support this belief.

The Juno 60 is the same synth as the Juno 6 but the 60 has programmable memories and MIDI Capability. As with it’s sibling, the sound engine is the same beautifully warm vintage Roland sound, but having the memories on the 60 makes it more of a ‘go-to’ synth for working musicians wanting that vintage sound.

This factory standard Juno 60 has come to us from a long standing RL Music customer who is downsizing his synth collection, which is all in ‘collectors quality’ condition. We know this because we sold this Juno 6o to them late last year!
