Roland Jupiter-8 (14...

Brokered Sale for our UK Client

Came into stock: November 2025

Servicing Status: A full health-check will be carried out by KSR (Kent Spong Restorations) in November 2025. A full service was previously completed by KSR in 2021.

Overview

We are pleased to offer this outstanding Roland Jupiter-8 (14-bit), complete with a professionally installed Kenton MIDI system, now available through RL Music on a brokered basis.

This superb example was fully serviced by KSR in 2021 and subsequently sold by us to the current owner, who has maintained it in a carefully controlled, private collection. They are now selectively downsizing, and the Jupiter-8 is being made available once again through RL Music.

Provenance & Background

This is a Jupiter-8 we know extremely well:

  • In 2021, it received a full KSR technical service, including calibration, PSU restoration, key-bed refurbishment, panel control work, and comprehensive component inspection.
  • During this service, Kent Spong installed a new Kenton MIDI kit, ensuring reliable integration while preserving originality and reversibility.
  • RL Music originally placed this instrument with its current owner, a long-standing private collector.
  • Since purchase, it has been kept in a stable home environment, used lightly, and maintained immaculately.

About the 14-bit Revision

The 14-bit DAC version of the Jupiter-8 is the most refined production model Roland produced. It retains the iconic Jupiter architecture:

  • 8 voices / 2 VCOs per voice
  • Discrete analogue VCF
  • Cross-mod and oscillator sync
  • Roland’s classic arpeggiator

…while offering smoother internal resolution and exceptional tuning stability.

It remains the preferred revision among many players, engineers, and collectors.

Technical Condition

Because this Jupiter-8 received a full KSR overhaul in 2021 and has been lightly used since, it remains in excellent operational order.

As part of our pre-sale quality control, RL Music will be commissioning KSR to perform a full health-check in November 2025 to ensure the instrument is operating perfectly before it is released to its new owner.

Cosmetic Condition

The instrument presents in very good cosmetic condition, showing only minor signs of careful use.

  • Front panel graphics are vibrant and original, with a few small marks on the painted surface.
  • End-cheeks are clean and well preserved.
  • All controls are original, correct, and in superb mechanical condition.

It is a visually striking example suitable for any serious collection or professional studio.

Features & Enhancements

  • Desirable 14-bit DAC revision
  • Kenton MIDI (MIDI In/Out/Thru) — installed by KSR
  • Full 2021 KSR service and restoration
  • 2025 KSR health-check prior to sale
  • Known provenance and long-term RL Music oversight
  • 3-month RL Music warranty
  • 230V UK-specification power

Why Buy a Roland Jupiter-8?

1. One of the finest analogue polysynths ever built

The Jupiter-8 represents the pinnacle of Roland’s classic analogue engineering:

  • Exceptionally stable VCOs
  • Wide, authoritative tone
  • Dual-VCO voice architecture
  • Cross-mod, sync, split & layer modes
  • A filter that’s both silky and powerful

It’s one of the rare synthesizers where every patch sounds musical.

2. The sound of an era

The Jupiter-8 is embedded in the DNA of 1980s and early-1990s music:

Duran Duran • Howard Jones • Michael Jackson (Thriller) • Tangerine Dream • Jean-Michel Jarre • Simple Minds

It instantly evokes that polished, cinematic analogue tone modern synths rarely capture.

3. A benchmark for collectors

Much like a 1959 Les Paul, the Jupiter-8 is culturally important, musically influential, and sonically irreplaceable.
Well-maintained 14-bit units with known provenance are considered blue-chip vintage assets.

4. The 14-bit version is the pinnacle

Smoother control behaviour, slightly more precise response, and the most stable production hardware Roland offered.

5. It’s inspiring in a way modern synths seldom are

The interface and scale of the sound change how you play.
It feels alive — and invites musicality.

6. Mix-friendly by design

  • Pads that don’t mask vocals
  • Leads that sit without harshness
  • Bass that has weight but not mud

Producers still prize it for its mix-readiness.

7. Nothing else sounds exactly like it

Modern synths and emulations are excellent — but none replicate:

  • Jupiter architecture
  • VCO behaviour
  • Vintage analogue deviation
  • Roland’s 1980s design philosophy
  • 40+ years of natural component ageing

Together, these create the Jupiter-8 sound.

8. The right examples are becoming rarer

  • Many units are heavily worn
  • Many are modified or poorly serviced
  • Many lack any provenance
  • KSR-restored examples are highly desirable
  • Market prices have corrected to more accessible levels (Autumn 2025)

A trustworthy example with known history is increasingly hard to find.

Roland Jupiter 6 Eur...

We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK customer

Coming into stock: February 2024.

Servicing Status: Serviced Feb 2024.

Remarks: This Jupiter 6 (serial # 333020) was purchased by our client some years ago and is only ever used in the home.  The cosmetic condition is excellent, and the whole synth only shows light indications of use with some marks to the panels, which we hope the photos provided will show, but this is a high-quality 40 years old vintage instrument.

The Jupiter 6 has been a hugely popular polysynth since it arrived in 1983. It offers aficionados that beautiful vintage polyphonic analogue Roland sound for a very reasonable cost compared to its sibling, the Jupiter 8.  Prices for these models in recent years have seen a significant uplift as vintage polysynths are getting rarer and rarer to find in good condition.

Our client, the owner of the synth, purchased it in 2005 from a UK seller, and this being a 240V machine would suggest it’s always been in the UK, so not an import. The JP6 has never been gigged, and the cosmetic condition stands as a testament to it being exceptionally well cared for throughout its 40 years since manufacture.

This JP6 has the hugely popular Europa Modification implemented, which expands the capability of this already superb vintage polysynth; we also have printed copies of the Europa User manuals, which we will supply upon sale to the new owner. Additionally, the original aluminium end-cheeks have been overlayed with retro-style hardwood wood pieces, which are in excellent shape.  This ‘bolt-on’ cosmetic mod can be removed if unwanted, but it’s something we have seen on a few JP6, and it either adds or subtracts to the synth, which depends on your viewpoint.

The Jupiter 6 is a professional-grade vintage instrument that’s only ever going to become more sought after and rarer, so here is your opportunity to buy a beautiful condition example, fresh from the hands of a master synth-tech (Kent Spong) and fully guaranteed by RL Music.

This Jupiter 6 is sold through RL Music with a 3-month warranty and operates on EU 220V~240V, and is supplied with an IEC power cable (UK 3-pin type) and the flight case pictured.

Packing & Shipping:

We can ship this JP6 worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so they are subject to quotation.  The synth s located with us in Reading, so you are welcome to collect if from us if you prefer.

There may be short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements, so please email us if you have any questions about the logistics and/or need a quote.

Price: £5,900 GBP

As this is a brokered sale, VAT does not apply to UK buyers. However, packing & shipping/insurance is subject to VAT @ 20% should you need the goods shipped.

Memorymoog

We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK customer

Came into stock: December 2024.

Servicing Status: A full service was carried out by Kent Spong at KSR in December 2024.

Remarks:

Nothing sounds like a Memorymoog – so let’s just get that out of the way first as it’s a very powerful hybrid analogue polysynth that is unique and demands attention in the mix!

This particular Memorymoog (Serial #2074X) is what we term a ‘Standard’ model, so a first edition before MIDI and a Sequencer was added in production, so produced from 1981, which would date this particular example as around 42 to 44 years old. This was produced as an EU 220~240V model so would have been exported by Moog in 1981 for the EU/UK market originally, so this is not a subsequent import per se.

Our client has owned this Memorymoog for many years and had a Kenton MIDI Retrofit Kit fitted back in the 1990s.  When the Moog arrived at the KSR workshop there were some operational issues that Kent did a deep-dive diagnosis on and found that the (very old/legacy) Kenton MIDI kit was faulty.  We did speak to Kenton about getting the Kit repaired but they said it was a very early iteration that they no longer can support. The decision was taken to remove the MIDI kit completely, but the Moog retains the MIDI sockets and reset button on the rear of the synth, so a replacement kit can be installed if the new owner would like that facility and the legacy sockets utilised.

Kenton Electronics still produce the MIDI Retrofit Kit for the Memorymoog, their current supply price only is £460 (inc VAT & postage), and KSR would charge an additional £150 to install it.

KSR were commissioned to fully service the Memorymoog after the MIDI kit was removed, the servicing was only completed within the last couple of weeks so the Moog is fresh for the workshop and working perfectly, so among several critical service items, all 6 VCOs are calibrated and tuned to perfection.

Why Buy a Memorymoog?

Buying a vintage Memorymoog, a polyphonic analogue synthesizer from the early 1980s, can be a fantastic choice for several reasons. Here are some key points:

1. Rich, Analog Sound

  • The Memorymoog features six voices, each with three oscillators, offering an incredibly lush, warm, and powerful analogue tone. Its sound is often described as massive, capable of producing pads, leads, and basses with immense character that modern digital emulations struggle to replicate.

2. Classic Moog Filter

  • It incorporates the classic Moog 24 dB/octave ladder filter, renowned for its smooth resonance and musical warmth, contributing to its signature analogue character.

3. Polyphonic Capabilities

  • While many classic Moog synthesizers are monophonic, the Memorymoog provides six-voice polyphony, making it highly versatile for chords, pads, and complex soundscapes.

4. Historical Significance

  • The Memorymoog represents a milestone in synthesizer history as one of the most powerful analogue polysynths of its time. Owning one is akin to having a piece of musical heritage.

5. Hands-On Control

  • With an array of knobs and sliders, the Memorymoog offers immediate and tactile control over sound parameters, appealing to musicians who prefer physical interfaces over digital menus.

6. Unique Character

  • Each vintage Memorymoog has its quirks due to ageing components, giving it a distinctive character that adds to its charm. Many musicians appreciate this unpredictability as part of the analogue experience.

7. Investment Value

  • Vintage synthesizers like the Memorymoog do appreciate over time. Well-maintained units are sought after by collectors and musicians, making it a potential investment.

8. Sound Design and Studio Use

  • Its unique tonal palette and rich sonic capabilities make it a valuable tool for sound designers and producers, especially in genres like electronic, ambient, and cinematic music.

If you value authentic analogue sound and the charm of a vintage instrument, the Memorymoog could be a rewarding addition to your setup, and we stated earlier, that nothing sounds like this instrument.

If you would like to have MIDI fitted to this post-sale then please call or email Richard and discuss your requirements with him. The MIDI kit can be purchased and fitted as a post-sale activity, although there will be a delay in completing the work as the MIDI kits are made-to-order by Kenton and they usually quote a 4-week lead-time from order to dispatch, but we can have the kit posted straight to Kent at KSR, for him to fit if your prefer.

This Memorymoog will come with a 3-month warranty from us and operates on EU 220V (fitted with UK UK-style 3-pin plug). We can supply a PDF copy of the User Manual.

Packing & Shipping:

We can ship this Memorymoog worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so are subject to quotation.  There may be some short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom-ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements so please email us if you have any questions on the logistics and/or need a quote.

Sales Price:  £9,490 GBP

Roland Jupiter 6

Estate Sale • Restored, Professionally Serviced & in Excellent Condition

Overview

We are delighted to present this Roland Jupiter-6, an exceptional example of one of the most capable and forward-thinking analogue polysynths of the early 1980s.
Released in 1983 as the younger sibling to the legendary Jupiter-8, the Jupiter-6 carved its own legacy through a distinctive sound character — punchier, slightly edgier, and more versatile — paired with one of the first truly integrated MIDI systems in a professional synthesizer.

With six voices of dual-oscillator analogue power, multi-mode filters, and a richly programmable modulation structure, the Jupiter-6 offers an extraordinary sonic range: from crystalline pads and resonant sweeps to cutting leads and deep, rubbery basses. Its cross-modulation and oscillator-sync capabilities lend it a dynamic, expressive tone that continues to captivate musicians and sound designers.

The Jupiter-6 occupies a unique space in Roland’s history — a bridge between the lush Jupiter-8 and the digitally controlled era that followed.
Equally celebrated by collectors, producers, and synth enthusiasts, it remains a cornerstone of vintage analogue synthesis and an instrument of genuine creative inspiration.

This example is now offered from a private estate.

Condition

This Roland Jupiter-6 is presented in excellent condition, graded 9/10 under RL Music’s professional evaluation system.
The front panel, controls, and chassis are all in outstanding shape, with only minor evidence of age and use. The silkscreening remains sharp, the sliders and switches feel precise, and the instrument performs flawlessly.
Internally, it remains clean and original, showing no evidence of modification.

Servicing & Restoration

This Jupiter-6 was fully serviced by Kent Spong at KSR (Kent Spong Restorations) in March 2025, ensuring optimal calibration, reliability, and performance across all functions.
The service included power-supply checks, key-bed cleaning, tuning calibration, and full verification of the modulation and MIDI systems.

This instrument is now presented in excellent working order and ready for immediate use.

Provenance

This Roland Jupiter-6 is offered as part of an estate sale, handled by RL Music on behalf of the family of the late owner.
The instrument’s prior ownership history is not fully documented, but it has clearly been well cared for and remains in excellent condition.
Its verified service record and authentic originality make it a particularly desirable example.

Accessories

This Jupiter-6 is supplied with:

  • An IEC power-socket adapter, allowing a standard 3-pin IEC cable to connect to the original Roland 2-pin power inlet
  • A brand-new IEC power cable

BUY THIS JP6

Roland Jupiter 4

We are Brokering this Roland Jupiter 4, for and on behalf of our UK client.

Came into stock: Available from RL Music from November 2024

Servicing Status:  A full service was carried out by Kent Spong at KSR in August 2024.

Remarks:

We present an excellent condition Roland Jupiter 4, which is 100% original and unmodified and has been part of our client’s collection for only a few years.  Our client recently commissioned KSR to fully overhaul the JP4, to get it ready for sale through us.

The Roland Jupiter-4, released in 1978, was groundbreaking as Roland’s first polyphonic synthesizer and remains celebrated for several reasons. Here’s why it stood out and still holds appeal today:

1. Warm Analog Sound

The discrete analogue voice architecture on Jupiter 4 gives it a uniquely lush and organic sound.

Its single oscillator per voice (with a sub-oscillator) creates rich, punchy tones, ideal for bass, leads, and pads.

2. Early Polyphony

With 4 voices of polyphony, it brought true polyphonic synthesis to a relatively compact and affordable instrument in its time.

3. Built-in Presets and User Programmability

Featured 10 presets (strings, brass, organ, etc.) and space for 8 user-programmable patches, which was innovative in the late 1970s.

Allowed musicians to save their custom sounds, making it more practical for live performances.

4. Iconic Roland Filter

The Jupiter-4 uses the IR3109 filter chip, giving it a characteristic smooth and resonant Roland sound.

The filter’s behaviour has a unique “bite,” making it especially expressive.

5. Ensemble Effect

Its ensemble (chorus) effect adds depth and width, contributing to its lush, dreamy textures, similar to a string machine.

Cosmetic Condition:

The control surfaces/panels on the synth & keyboard have been deep cleaned and are in outstanding condition and retain all original slider caps and controls. The cabinets and faux wood side-cheeks are all in excellent condition and show minimal but reasonable wear for a 50-year-old synthesizer.

Notes on the Servicing:

Kent at KSR has gone through the entire instrument.  Many original parts were retained to ensure continuity and authenticity but some ageing components like power conditioning caps have been replaced, but only were necessary. all the sliders and potentiometers had been deep cleaned and a full function test of every PCB.

This is a fantastic opportunity to buy what’s largely considered to be a ‘gem’ in the vintage synth world, and finding examples that are in entirely original condition is rare so this is a wonderful opportunity to own something quite special.

The JP4 runs on EU 220~240V.  We can also supply a PDF copy of the owner’s manual.

All our vintage instruments are sold with a 3-month warranty, please see our Terms & Conditions for full details.

Packing & Shipping:

We can ship this Jupiter 4 worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so they are subject to quotation.  The synth is located with us in Reading, so you are welcome to collect it from us if you prefer.

There may be short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements, so please email us if you have any questions about the logistics and/or need a quote.

Juno 60 + JSQ-60

We are Brokering these instruments for and on behalf of our UK customer

Servicing Status: KSR has already carried out a full service on this in July 2023.

Remarks: This Roland Juno 60, JSQ-60 and Boss KM-60 were purchased by our client brand new (from our Client’s memory) around 1983 from a music shop based in Chelmsford, and all three items have only ever been used in the home.  The cosmetic condition is outstanding for all three machines, pristine and almost (if not) as-new condition. These are usable vintage instruments, so they have intrinsic value as such but the condition of this collection more than qualifies as something a collector would cherish.

We are going to try and sell this collection as a bundle for two reasons;

Firstly as they were all bought together and have been used together for 40 years, so it would be ideal to not split them up if possible.

Secondly, as these actually all make excellent partners in terms of operating and mixing, especially with that stunning condition analogue keyboard mixer, the KM-60

The summary prices below offer a bundle price or the option to buy separately.

The Juno 60

The design of the Juno 60 has to be one of the best Roland ever produced in terms of simplicity of sound design and warmth of character. The Juno 60 has been a ‘go-to’ synth for working musicians wanting that vintage sound for quite a while now.  It kind of defies logic that a DCO synth could deliver such a lush and musical tone, and it won the hearts and minds of all synthesists who’d had the opportunity to own or play one.

This is, we feel, the cleanest all original example we have had through our business, with the buttons and keys so clean and white, it’s like looking at a brand new machine. Included in the sale is the original Roland Patch Program Data Cassette and owner’s manual.

This synth sounds and operates like all Juno 60 should, and KSR has fully serviced the synth, so it’s 100% working perfectly and good to go.  Aside from the DCB Port, there is no modern MIDI retrofit to this example, but as it’s in such beautiful original condition it would be such a shame to drill holes into the pristine metal panel.  Kenton still produces a Pro-DCB MIDI converter, so we would recommend going this route to maintain the originality for MIDI functionality, but if you must have a more sophisticated MIDI access then please call and speak to us about what options are available and costs etc.

The price has been agreed with our client to reflect the outstanding condition as we both recognise this to be a vastly superior quality example to what most people are trying to sell online around the world.

The Juno JSQ-60

This was Roland’s solution to a dedicated polyphonic sequencer for the Juno 60, which connects via the proprietary DCB port on the synth from a Roland sequencer. A useful 2000-step unit that’s simple to use and an effective partner for its time.

As you can see from the photos, the unit comes still contained within its original EO retail packaging. The cosmetic condition is excellent with only tiny areas showing any imperfections, and we have provided some photos below that show all angles of the sequencer so you can get a feel for it’s overall quality.

KSR has fully serviced the synth, so it’s 100% working perfectly and good to go, and we have purchased a brand new 9V DC 1A external power supply (UK model) for this, which is included in the price.

The Boss KM-60 6-Channel Analogue Mixer

A very well-known and sought-after analogue mixer that Boss produced in the late 1970s. It’s a stereo 6-channel machine that offers onboard EQ, effects send and panning,  some lovely VU-meters and a beautiful aesthetic that fits perfectly with the Juno-60 and JSQ-60.  There’s a lot of love for this little mixer, we used to own one back in the day so know it well and have fond memories of our ownership. Certainly, you can buy a lot more ‘mixer’ these days, but period-correct equipment has a unique appeal and the KM-60, especially in this condition, is very much collectable and only set to become more desirable as the years go by.

As you can see from the pictures, it’s is fantastic cosmetic condition with only the smallest evidence that tells you this mixer is over 40 years old.

KSR have fully serviced the mixer, cleaned all the potentiometers and jack-sockets and re-capped the PSU, so it’s 100% working perfectly.  We all know that mixers impart a lot of character to the tone of the instruments used through them, and the KM-60 was produced with the Roland product set being sold at that time in mind, so the Juno-60 is the perfect partner for it. Its a trackable mixer but this example has never been used that was so is completely unblemished…stunning.

In Summary:

The Juno 60, JSQ-60 and KM-60 are all sold through RL Music with a 3-month warranty and operate on EU/UK 220v~240v.

Our client, the owner, also provided original printed copies of the Juno-60 Owners Manual and the JSQ-60 Owners Manual, although the latter shows some historic water damage to the paper.

The Juno-60 and KM-60 use a hard-wired flex that terminates to a UK-style 3-pin plug. They are able to operate within the EU without any external power-regulation transformers, although your own country-type plug would need to be fitted. The JSQ-60 operated from a brand new 9V DC 1A external power supply (UK plug-type version).

Packing & Shipping:

We can ship Juno 60, JSQ-60 and KM-60 worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so are subject to quotation.  There may be short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom-ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements, so please email us if you have any questions on the logistics and/or need a quote.

Bundle Price for all two items is  = £3,500 GBP.

Roland Jupiter 8 w/M...

We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK customer

Coming into stock: Came into stock in February 2022.

Servicing Status: KSR have carried out a service on this Jupiter 8 in February 2023.

Remarks: A beautiful condition Roland Jupiter 8 (12bit model) – Serial Number: 161512, which has been retrofitted with a Groove MIDI kit.

We are always very happy to sell any Jupiter 8 and this one is an excellent representative example that has MIDI as well. What can we say that hasn’t already been written about the JP8…honestly, nothing new.  However, we’ve seen relative values for this flagship vintage analogy poly-synth climb sharply in recent years, so they’ve become unaffordable to most people, which is a real shame.

The overall condition is excellent, with far less than he normal amount of wear we would expect to see on a synth this age, so this example has been very well cared for throughout its existence. The photos below tell the story, but even the base of this JP8 is in great shape.

We discussed the price at some length with our client and agreed keep the sale price as reasonable as is possible for this model, so we think you will find this cheaper by far than any currently available JP8 for sale in the world right now, in comparable condition, with MIDI, fully serviced and sold with a guarantee.

Our client purchased a Stardust (pictured) cover for the synth to keep it well protected, so this is supplied in the sale.

This JP8 operates on EU220~UK 220V and has a UK type 3-Pin plug fitted.  We will also supply  a PDF copy of the owners manual.

As the instrument is being Brokered through RL Music, it will be sold with a full 3-month warranty and we can ship worldwide.

We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK customer

Coming into stock: Came into stock in July 2022.

Servicing Status: KSR has already performed a full service on this Juno 60 in July 2022;

Remarks: This Juno 60 was purchased by our client some years ago and was only ever used in the home.  The cosmetic condition is very good, and the whole synth only shows light indications of use & wear to the control surface and faux wood cabinet, but overall, it’s a very nice machine at an exceptionally good price.

The design of the Juno 60 has to be one of the best Roland ever produced in terms of simplicity of sound design and warmth of character. The Juno 60 has been a ‘go-to’ synth for working musicians wanting that vintage sound for quite a while now.  It kind of defies logic that a DCO synth could deliver such a lush and musical tone, and it’s won the hearts and minds of all synthesists who’d had the opportunity to own or play one.

This synth sounds and operates like all Juno 60 should, and KSR has just fully serviced the synth, so it’s 100% working perfectly and good to go.  The price has been agreed with our client to reflect the overall condition and to try for a quick sale, so it’s likely the best value Juno 60 in the world being sold from a dealer.

This Juno 60 is sold through RL Music with a 3-month warranty and operates on EU 220V.  It does have an old flight case, but it’s worn and has no handle. If you were to collect the Juno 60 from us, the flight case would serve as useful protection for transport in person, but we will not ship the synth in the case.  There’s also a printed b&w copy of the owner’s manual; we also can supply this in a PDF if needed.

Packing & Shipping:

We can ship this Juno 60 worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so are subject to quotation.  There may be short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements, so please email us if you have any questions on the logistics and/or need a quote.

Price: £2,700 GBP.

As this is a brokered sale, VAT is not applicable on the sale of this Juno 60 to UK buyers. However, packing & shipping/insurance is subject to VAT @ 20% should you need the goods shipped to you.

Availability: This Juno 60 is now SOLD.  This listing was updated on 2nd Sept 2022 @ 11:21 GMT.

Roland Jupiter 6

We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK customer

Coming into stock: Came into stock in July 2022.

Servicing Status: KSR has already performed a full service on this JP6 in July 2022.

Remarks: This Jupiter 6 was purchased by our client some years ago and is only ever used in the home.  The cosmetic condition is excellent, and the whole synth only shows very light indications of use & ware – this is remarkable for a keyboard nearly 40 years old!

The Jupiter 6 has been a hugely popular polysynth since its arrival in 1983 and offers aficionados that beautiful vintage polyphonic analogue Roland sound for a very reasonable cost, certainly when compared to its sibling, the Jupiter 8.  Prices for these models in recent years have seen a significant uplift as vintage polysynths are getting rarer and rarer to find in good condition, let alone the condition of this example we have available.

This JP6 has not had any modifications to its factory spec, which our client said was an early production version (sn #343786).  This is often important for buyers who prefer to either leave them as stock or upgrade them according to their own needs & budget, depending on what retrofit solutions may be available in the marketplace.

The Jupiter 6 is a professional-grade vintage instrument that’s only ever going to become more sought after and rarer, so here is your opportunity to buy a beautiful condition example, fresh from the hands of a master synth restorer (Kent Spong), and fully guaranteed by RL Music.

This Jupiter 6 is sold through RL Music with a 3-month warranty and operates on EU 220V. The is supplied with an IEC power cable (UK 3-pin type).

Packing & Shipping:

We can ship this JP6 worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so are subject to quotation.  There may be short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements, so please email us if you have any questions on the logistics and/or need a quote.

Price: £5,500 GBP.

Andromeda A6

We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK customer

Coming into stock: Came into stock on July 2022.

Servicing Status: KSR have already carried out a full service on this A6 in July 2022;

Remarks: This more modern analogue synth, although over two decades old now (vintage yet?), has some serious curb appeal and could never be accused of lacking facility or punch.

The A6 is an inspired design by Alesis, but with production ceasing some years ago, the synth achieved cult status amongst synthesists, so another great synth for the halls of fame and used by too many artists to list.

The current owner has owned the A6 for only a few short years and only ever used it at home (smoke & pet free etc.), so the cosmetic and operational condition of the A6 is pristine. We sold this A6 to our customer back in 2018, so we know this machine’s quality is very high.

Running on OS: Version 1.40.12
Build Date: 4th December 2002

Our customer purchased one of the excellent quality Stardust synth covers for the A6 (pictured below), which is included in the sale.

Kent at KSR has gone through the A6, checking the power supply, the operational functions/switches, memory etc., and deep cleaning all the potentiometers, so there are no ‘jumping’ encoders, which is a known weakness of these machines.  As you can see from our photos, it’s cosmetically like new.

This Andromeda A6 is sold through RL Music with a 3-month warranty and can operate on US 110V or EU 220V. The A6 is supplied with an IEC power cable (UK 3-pin type).

Packing & Shipping:

We can ship this A6 worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so are subject to quotation.  There may be short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements, so please email us if you have any questions about the logistics and/or need a quote.

Memorymoog w/MIDI

We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK client.

Came into stock:

April 2022.

Service Status:

Remarks:

We present the rare and rather epic Memorymoog (standard Mk1 version), in excellent cosmetic condition and was previously sold to our client after it had been fully overhauled to top operational condition in 2017.

Background:

Our client purchased this Memorymoog from RL Music in late 2017 and had a Kenton MIDI retrofit kit added to it at that time.  The Moog has been used only in a home studio since then and had been back to KSR for a check over and calibration.

Condition:

Although no cosmetic restoration has been carried out other than deep-cleaning to all the exterior surfaces, the cosmetic condition is 100% original and excellent, as you can see from the pictures below.

Being an ex-RL Music restored Memorymoog, we are proud to see this instrument looking so beautiful and perfectly working, so a testament to the investment made into its preparation 5 years ago.

Health-Check & Servicing:

KSR has already full assessed the Memorymoog for us before we put this up for sale, so we know it’s in perfect working order, but we will have another health check carried out post-sale, which will add around 14 days to the post-sale completion. A full system-wide operational restoration by KSR was carried out in 23rd August 2017.

This Memorymoog operates on EU 220V. it’s sold with a 3-month warranty. Included with the sale is a UK IEC Power cable, and we will also include a PDF copy of the user manual.

Packing & Shipping:

We can ship this Minimoog worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so are subject to quotation.  There may be some short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements so please email us if you have any questions on the logistics and/or need a quote.

Memorymoog LAMM

We are Brokering this vintage instrument for and on behalf of our UK client.

Came into stock:

November 2021.

Service Status:

Full service by KSR was carried out in late November 2021, so this Memorymoog LAMM is ready for sale & shipping and/or collection.

Remarks:

We’re delighted to be able to offer this beautiful condition Memorymoog which has had the fabled Lintronics upgrade (LAMM) implement into it at some time in its past.

The Memorymoog is an outstanding analogue hybrid polysynth that is unique and unrivalled in sheer power and character. Moog did something amazing creating this beautiful instrument, and they pushed the technology of the day to its limits. But then, Lintronics developed an amazing upgrade to deliver arguably the most powerful vintage analogue polysynth ever, and a synthesizer that sits perfectly in a 21st Century production environment.

More info on the Lintronics LAMM implementation can be found by clicking this link:

http://www.lintronics.de/lamm.html

Having a Memorymoog in stock alone would be special enough but these Lintronics versions are highly coveted. The cost of implementing the LAMM upgrade is near the actual supply cost of the donor machine these days, plus factoring in the waiting time to have it done by Rudi means getting hold of these very special versions can test the patience of any fan. We’ve seen demand for LAMM Memorymoog go through the roof in recent years, what with top music professionals buying them up, and this trend is only ever going to go one way, so this should be viewed as a rare opportunity to own your own and the bragging rights the come with it.

Background:

Our client, the owner of this LAMM, a professional studio owner & producer, and owner of a significant vintage synth collection, purchased it from a contact of theirs on Germany back in 2010. In they own words, they ‘rather selfishly’ kept the Moog in the own private studio for the 11 years of their ownership and had ‘lovingly cherished’ the instrument for all that time.  Our client regularly had Kent Spong at KSR service the LAMM (3 times in 11 years including November 2021). They told us that the Memorymoog had ‘taken me on musical journeys of discovery that only a classic Moog can do..’ which perfectly sums up what its like owning one of these very special instruments.

Condition:

The cosmetic condition is excellent, so we would rate this 9/10. The wood cabinet is original, undamaged and has a beautiful light wood stain that has a natural patina.  The aluminium case and control-surface stickers are all in excellent condition with hardly any signs of ware.  The only item of note is a small ‘roll’ on the top of the right hand side aluminium end-cheek; we’ve included a picture below to show this tiny blemish in an otherwise outstanding condition example of a 40+ year old instrument.

Observations:

In its original guise, this was a standard Memorymoog, and looking at the serial number (#1619) and notes supplied from KSR, this is quite an early manufactured example.  The tone of this Moog seems particularly deep & rich, so from an audiophile perspective, it sounds special.  The Lintronics upgrade adds a lot of functionality and increases stability of the Memorymoog from its factory state, but this example being an early model, does take a little while to warm-up, but you’re patience is rewarded with the most beautify sounding example we recall ever playing.

This Memorymoog LAMM has (in the past) been modified to operate on UK/EU 220~240V. As you may know, Memorymoog never came with a simple user-switchable power supply, but the rear of this machine does indicate it was originally a 110V. KSR have printed a small sticker under the IEC socket to indicate the synth is set to 240V status. A UK 3-pin style IEC mains cable will be supplied with the instrument upon sale.

We shot a short video of the LAMM in action, so you can view it by clicking the link below:

http://www.rlmusic.co.uk/rlm3/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Lament_111121.mov

Accessories:

As pictured, this LAMM comes with an original printed Memorymoog manual, and we also hold PDF copies of the original Moog manuals and the Lintronics LAMM manuals (version 3.1/3.2) as well, which we can supply upon request.

Packing, Shipping, Insurance and Warranty:

We can ship this instrument worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so are subject to quotation.  There may be some short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements so please email us if you have any questions on the logistics and/or need a quote.

As the instrument is being Brokered through RL Music, it will be sold with a full 3-month (return-to-dealer) warranty, covering all parts and labour.

Sales Price:

£19,000 GBP – SOLD

As this is a brokered sale, VAT is not applicable on the sale of this LAMM to UK buyers, however, the packing & shipping/insurance costs are subject to VAT @ 20%, should you need the goods shipped to you.  The LAMM can be available for collection from us directly in the South of England (Reading, Berkshire).

Sequential Pro-One

We are Brokering this vintage instrument for and on behalf of our UK client.

Came into stock:

October 2021.

Service Status:

Full service by KSR was carried out in late October 2021, so this Pro-One is ready for sale & shipping/collection.

Remarks:

It must be true that time travel is possible because we have a vintage Pro-one sat here that looks like i’s just come from the Sequential Circuits production line in

The Pro-One is a superb mono-synth, utilising the fabled Curtis CEM chip technology, like its bigger brother, the Prophet 5. A really great sounding vintage analogue synth and very flexible modulation routing capability and wonderful built-in arpeggio & 40 note sequencer.

This Pro-One has come to us from our UK client who has owned it since new, having bought it in the early 1980s, so only one owner!  It comes with its original retail packaging and has a pristine copy of the owners manual.  The condition of the Pro-One can only be described as mint.  It’s immaculate, unmarked.

What can we add to the huge body of praise that you can find online for this super little mono-synths, it’s got heart, full of character, punchy, versatile…perfect.

A good friend of ours, Theo Bloderer, runs an excellent online magazine called Great Synthesizers (dot.com), and he ran a really super article dedicated to the Pro-one back in August 2012.  You can read that article by clicking the link below:

https://greatsynthesizers.com/en/review/sequential-pro-one-best-vintage-monophonic/

To answer the obligatory question on these models, yes, this is (J-Wire) version, most were.  KSR has just fully serviced the synth, which included a new set of neoprene keyboard bushes, full calibration, re-cap of PSU, deep-clean of all pots, switches etc.  The synth was clean and in top condition, but age still plays its part in needing to maintain these instruments, so most of the servicing was minimal to ensure furniture continuity.  The wood end-cheeks were pristine, so di not need any treatment.

As you can see from the pictures, this Pro-One looks like new. We made a short video of the Pro-One playing a sequence we programmed in, just for fun really and to show it’s a happy machine and working 100% perfectly, so please click the link below to watch it in action:

http://www.rlmusic.co.uk/rlm3/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/IMG_3968.mov

This Pro-One operates on either US110V or UK/EU 220~240V as it has a switchable power supply, but a UK 3-pin is currently fitted to the mains cable.

As the instrument is being Brokered through RL Music, it will be sold with a full 3-month warranty and we can ship worldwide.

Packing & Shipping:

We can ship this instrument worldwide, although the packing, shipping & insurance costs are not included in the sale price below, so are subject to quotation.  There may be some short delays in getting the packaging materials produced for shipping as they are custom ordered for the specific dimensions of each instrument.  We are happy to discuss your requirements so please email us if you have any questions on the logistics and/or need a quote.

Roland Jupiter 8

We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our EU client.

Came into stock: December 2020.

Restoration Status: A full service by KSR was been carried out in December, so this instrument is ready for sale now.

Remarks: This Jupiter 8 forms part of a larger collection of vintage synths that we are brokering for our client. This Synthacon has been in our client’s collection for several years.

Roland Jupiter 8 (14bit model) – Serial Number: 212296, has been retrofitted with a MIDI kit.

We are always very happy to sell any Jupiter 8 and this one is a good representative example that has MIDI as well. What can we say that hasn’t already been written about the JP8…honestly, nothing new.  However, we’ve seen relative values for this flagship vintage analogy poly-synth climb sharply in recent years, so they’ve become unaffordable to most people, which is a real shame.

The overall condition is very good, with only the normal amount of wear we would expect to see on a synth this age, although there is a blemish that you can see on the back-plane, on the right-hand side, which we have included a picture of to show, for full disclosure.

We discussed the price at some length with our client and agreed to keep the sale price as reasonable as is possible for this model, so we think you will find this cheaper by far than any currently available for sale in the world right now, in comparable condition, fully serviced and sold with a guarantee.

This JP8 operates on EU/UK 220V.  We will also supply a PDF copy of the owners manual.

As the instrument is being Brokered through RL Music, it will be sold with a full 3-month warranty and we can ship worldwide.

Note on Demos, and because…Covid:  The JP8 is currently based in Surrey (UK) with our tech, Kent at KSR.  Although there are strict Covid-19 restrictions in place throughout the UK at present, Kent has very kindly offered for anyone who would like to see and demo the synth before buying it, to demo it at his premises.  Kent is able to set up the synth in a place that meets distancing rules, that’s safe for him and the customer, so if you want to check the synth out then that option is open to you.

Alternately (recommended), Kent can produce short video demo’s to show the working condition of the JP8, but this is by request only.  If we get a single request to do this then we will, of course, upload that to the KSR YouTube channel and probably just post it here in the listing, but Kent’s a very busy guy (good techs always are) so he’s not had the time to proactively do this for us and/or this Jupiter 8.

Packing & Shipping: We can ship this world-wide, although the packing & shipping cost is not included in the sale price below, and is subject to quotation.  Again, the Covid issues are affecting our packing suppliers, so there may be some short delays in getting materials produced for shipping, although courier companies all seem to be operating normally.  We are happy to discuss your requirements so please email us if you have any questions on the logistics.

Sales Price: £11,990 GBP

Availability: This Jupiter 8 with MIDI is now SOLD – this sales listing was updated on 19th February 2021.

Note on pictures, again due to Covid: Click on the thumbnail for a higher resolution photo of the actual JP8 for sale.  Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, Kent has offered to photograph the synth at his premises in Surrey, so these photos come straight from him using the best photo-equipment he has available. It’s our workaround for the Covid issues/restrictions and we’re very grateful to Kent for helping us all out…but he’s like that.

If you require specific pictures not already featured of the instrument then please contact us so we can request that Kent at KSR can accommodate your request, but there may be a short delay in getting this done for us/you.

Roland Juno 6

Came into stock: Available from RL Music from February 2020.

Servicing Status: A health-check has been carried out by KSR but we will have it fully serviced as a priority once the sale has been completed.

Remarks: We are brokering this excellent condition example for a UK client who has owned it for 20+ years.

This wonderful 6 voice system came from a time when Roland made such cool looking synths and had a warm and timeless vintage sound to them. The Juno 6 was many peoples first polysynth and we have had many tell us that they sold theirs years ago and regretted it – well, you can have one again…and a really beautiful example as well.

Although lacking MIDI, this synth has a nostalgic appeal and is perfectly useable to make music today but you have to use your hands and not a remote computer to play it. The digitally controlled/generated oscillator keeps the system in perfect tune, and this model has the exact same sound and programming capability of the Juno 60 but without the extra price.

As you can see from the pictures below, the cosmetic condition of the panels and faux wood is excellent. The only item of note is a small ‘etched’ number into the paint on the back-plane, next to the output section, which was presumably for an asset ID for some previous owner.

This Juno 6 is sold through RL Music with a 3-month warranty and can be shipped worldwide. The synth operates on EU 220V (UK plug fitted).

Demos are available by appointment only.

<em>As with all Brokered Sales, the Juno 6 will be fully serviced post-sale before it’s sent to its new owner. We do this to ensure that the instrument leaves us in perfect operational condition, and it is backed up by our full warranty to give the new owner complete peace of mind. The servicing is carried out as a priority once the sale has been completed, and although it will delay shipping/delivery by a short time, we know from experience that customers are happy to wait.</em>

Price: £1,250 GBP.

Availability: This Juno 6 is no longer available for sale – updated as of 19th March 2020.

Roland Juno 60

We are Brokering this instrument for and on behalf of our UK client

Came into stock: Arrived at RL Music in early September 2018.

Servicing Status: A full service by KSR has already been carried out (August 2018), so this Juno 60 is ready for immediate sale & collection/shipping.

Remarks: This is fast becoming the most popular (and affordable) vintage analogue polysynth in the world.

This factory standard Juno 60 has been in the ownership of our client for over 25 years and was only ever used at his home during his ownership, and although showing signs of its age cosmetically, it works perfectly and needed little in the way of any operational attention.

We have taken a number of photos that highlight the cosmetic blemishes on this Juno 60, so you will see it is in good around condition, but far from perfect, so the sales price has been agreed with our client to reflect this. This synth sounds and operates like all Juno 60 should, so if the sound is more important than the looks, then this instrument will make a good studio workhorse for your vintage analogue poly needs.

The Juno 60 is an EU220V machine, so is supplied with a UK-plug fitted to the power cable. We will supply a copy of the user manual on PDF.

Price: £1690 GBP.

Availability: This Juno 60 is SOLD.
